    Nuevos Anillos Colectores IP65 para Máquinas Flow Pack

    Una nueva familia de Colectores Electricos (denominadas también Anillos Colectores) ahora también forma parte del abanico de soluciones que Servotecnica propone con especial atención a las máquinas envasadoras flow pack. El nuevo Anillo Colector SVTS D IP65 ha sido estudiado para una integración rápida y fiable en las máquinas envasadoras y complementa a la actual serie SVTS B. Gracias a los 3 circuitos de 20 A, se pueden alimentar las resistencias de las cuchillas giratorias, mientras que los 2 circuitos de señal garantizan la transmisión de los valores de temperatura detectados por las sondas térmicas. Aprovechando la tecnología de las escobillas de cerdas flexibles (o multifilamento) y de los anillos de aleación de metales preciosos, se mantienen inalteradas durante el tiempo las características eléctricas de los circuitos, garantizando los mismos resultados que los actuales colectores de la serie SVTS B.
     
    El orificio de paso de 22 mm de diámetro permite a este colector giratorio montarse directamente en el eje de la cuchilla giratoria, mientras que la conexión mecánica se obtiene fácilmente mediante 4 pasadores M3.
     
    La tecnología de contacto con escobillas multifilamento llevan la actividad de la junta a alrededor de 100 millones de vueltas. Además, se ha prestado una especial atención al cableado, que se produce haciendo pasar los cables a través de prensaestopas que después se conectan a las escobillas y a los anillos del anillo colector mediante terminales roscados; estos elementos y el añadido de una junta (O-Ring) en el eje giratorio garantizan al Anillo Colector un grado de protección IP65.

    El modelo SVTS D IP65 ha sido proyectado para garantizar tiempos de montaje rápidos y un mantenimiento mínimo, todo ello con una relación prestaciones/precio muy competitiva. 

    Este Anillo Colector innovador, por lo tanto, es la solución ideal en la que su facilidad de montaje, coste competitivo, prestaciones, duración elevada y su alto grado de protección son puntos clave que concurren en el diseño y venta de una aplicación con éxito.

    Nuevo Colectores Eléctrico con un solo paso neumático

    La complejidad de las máquinas modernas requieren cada vez más la utilización de un Juntas Rotativas Combinadas con un paso de aire, para aplicaciones como mesas giratorias, centros de trabajo, en la robótica o en sistemas de enrollado de cables.

    Con la nueva opción 0P1 y 0P2 combinable con la serie SVTS C 05, Servotecnica propone una solución estudiada para satisfacer estas exigencias. El modelo se basa en la integración de un colector eléctrico SVTS C 05 en cuyo interior hay un paso giratorio neumático con acoplamiento rápido de 6 o 10 mm capaz de soportar presiones de  1 MPa - o 10 Bares - y una velocidad de hasta 300 rpm. 

    El cuidado de los detalles garantiza los máximos resultados. Estos colectores giratorios han sido realizados con tecnología metal-metal, esto es, con cepillos y anillos revestidos con una capa de aleación de plata; esto permite transportar señales eléctricas sin interferencias garantizando una duración del colector de hasta 108 revoluciones sin mantenimiento. El número de circuitos eléctricos va de un mínimo de 6 hasta un máximo de 24 con capacidad de hasta 15 A y tensiones de 600 VCA/VCC. Está disponibles 3 versiones de protección, la estándar de IP51 y otras 2 en versión IP54 y IP65.

    Esta propuesta de Servotecnica está dirigida a quienes necesitan encontrar en poco tiempo una solución lista con plazos de entrega mínimos. De cualquier forma, podemos desarrollar soluciones ad hoc con un número superior de contactos eléctricos o que requieran la transmisión de señales más complejas como bus de campo EtherNet o EtherNet/IP con bandas de paso de hasta 1Gb/s. Asimismo, podemos personalizar la parte neumática con varios pasos tanto de aire como de líquidos, o una mezcla de los mismos.

    Nuevas Colectores Eléctricos Ethernet

    Anticipar las exigencias de los clientes y estar listos para las nuevas demandas: éste es el reto de Servotecnica.

    He aquí las soluciones para colectores giratorios eléctricos que puedan transferir protocolos basados en Ethernet como EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, EtherCAT, Sercos III, PowerLink.

    Los Slip Rings de nueva generación SVTS A Series, en versión Capsule, y la nueva serie de colectores giratorios SVTS C05 Series con orificio de paso, son la respuesta a la necesidad de poner en rotación este tipo de transmisiones de alta frecuencia. Esto ha sido posible gracias a la tecnología gold-gold, esto es, al uso, tanto para los cepillos como para los anillos, de un revestimiento de los 2 elementos de oro y a la estructura interna especial pensada para minimizar interferencias y acoplamientos.

    Nuestros Slip Rings pueden trabajar con Ethernet de tipo 100BaseT o 1000BaseT a las velocidades de 100Mb/s y 1Gb/s, respectivamente. Por ello, nuestros colectores giratorios con opción E1M utilizan, para la solución 100 BASE-T, dos pares trenzados y blindados con cables de categoría CAT5E, mientras que, con la opción E1G para transmisiones Gigabit Ehternet, utilizan cuatro pares trenzados y blindados de categoría CAT6A.

    Gracias a la tecnología gold-gold, podemos montar en el mismo colector tanto circuitos de señal digitales y analógicos como circuitos de potencia. En la Serie SVTS A hay hasta 56 circuitos con corriente de 2, 6 y 8 A y con tensiones de hasta 240 VCC/CA. Al tener un diámetro muy reducido, tienen una vida útil aproximada a 107 revoluciones.  La Serie SVTS C05 presenta un orificio de paso de 38,1 mm con la posibilidad de llegar hasta 48 circuitos de señal de 2 A y 15 A para los circuitos de potencia, con tensiones de hasta VCC/CA; además, la tecnología de cepillos multi-hilo permite duraciones del orden de 8x107 revoluciones.

    Son innumerables las personalizaciones posibles, desde la longitud de los cables al grado de protección IP51 hasta IP65 o, incluso, IP67, desde los materiales del cuerpo del colector de plásticos ABS más que de metal, pasando por la posibilidad de integrar en un único elemento tanto el colector eléctrico como la junta fluídica de 1 o varios pasos para líquidos y gases, con la peculiaridad de poder transmitir simultáneamente potencia y señales eléctricas, líquidos y gases, además de señales ópticas vía fibra.   
    La temperatura de ejercicio también puede ser un problema; por ello, tenemos soluciones con extensión hacia arriba o hacia abajo de la temperatura de uso.

    Por último, están disponibles las versiones antideflagrantes con certificación ATEX.

    DSTI Plays Role in Astrophysics Research from South Pole

    Most people are unaware that less than a quarter mile from the South Pole lie some of the world's most powerful radio telescopes.

    Running year-round, they scan the sky observing very faint light from the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). The CMB is the oldest light visible in the Universe, a remnant glow from the very early times when the Universe was much hotter and much denser than it is today.

    BICEP3, the 3rd generation in this series of instruments measuring the polarization of the CMB, requires rotary union technology to pass ultra-high purity helium gas from a compressor on the ground to a pulse-tube cryogenic cooler located above the telescope's rotating mount. Although the South Pole is bitterly cold, BICEP3 still needs to cool its detectors to a fraction of a degree above absolute zero (-273° C / -460° F) to operate properly.

    During the first season of BICEP3 operation at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station, BICEP3 was using a basic 2-channel DSTI rotary union. Unfortunately, that particular rotary union was not quite adequate for the very demanding application of passing high pressure helium, a gas notoriously hard to keep leak-tight, through the continuously rotating union.

    As a result, the rotary union displayed a high leak rate requiring constant bleeding of helium back into the system for replenishment. Despite being 99.999% pure, enough contamination accumulated in the pulse-tube cooler to cause performance degradation requiring additional processes to get the system back up and running resulting in a month of downtime.

    Research Scientist Denis Barkats from Harvard University partnered with DSTI to solve this problem with an upgraded 4-channel DSTI rotary union. The 4-channel union significantly outperformed the 2-channel union by effectively using the outer two channels as buffers for the two inner working channels.
    "DSTI was incredibly responsive when we communicated these problems with them and were able to deliver new rotary unions with spare units without delay which is critical when working in the short austral summer season at the South Pole station," says Denis Barkats.

    PiezoMotor Uppsala AB, leading provider of linear and rotary high end positioning systems, is announcing their latest drive option for the Piezo LEGS® motor series. The new DMC-30019 is a single-axis controller based on architecture from well renowned company Galil Motion Control, Inc.

    The motion controller operates stand-alone or can be networked to a PC via Ethernet. Features include PID compensation with velocity and acceleration feed forward, program memory with multitasking for concurrent execution of four programs, and uncommitted optically isolated inputs and outputs for synchronizing motion with external events. Modes of motion include point-to-point positioning, jogging, contouring, PVT, electronic gearing and electronic cam.

    Like all Galil motion controllers, these controllers use a simple, English-like command language which makes them very easy to program. GalilTools software further simplifies system set-up with “one button” servo tuning and real-time display of position and velocity information.
